I am wondering if you are confusing "genetically mutated" with hybrids. Most of the vegetables and flowers seeds that you get now are hybrids which means that two different types of corn(for example) were crossed to get the seeds that you are planting and what you grow will be different from either parent, but better...that's why they do it. So now, if you try and save the seed from your corn you planted, you will not get the same corn again because it is different from the original cross. The seeds will grow though....If you want to be able to grow from saved seeds you should look for heirloom varieties that reproduce true. Just do a search for heirloom seeds and I am sure something will come up. I have never experienced what you have described as related to garden vegetables...the only exception I can think of is "seedless" watermelon...the pseudo seeds that do form are not viable.

Should I take my cat to the vet?

Im very worried about my 7 year old cat lately. I started noticing signs today that something just wasnt right. First it was his mood. He seems very irritable, (this could be from the fact that I just got a new kitten two weeks ago, but they have been getting along fine) He doesnt want to be petted or held, which two days ago he did.. Hes very tired and when he meows it comes out really hoarse sounding. He has also been trying to throw up, and making noises like he is going to throw up but nothing comes out.. Is this a serious thing? Im very worried hes my baby, I dont want to lose him.. When should he see a vet? This last thing may seem weird, but where his whiskers are, the holes around them seem larger and more noticeable then they were a couple of days ago.. why don't you try opening up your sound mixer? all you have to do is click on the sound icon on the explorer bar and open the mixer option. then it usually shows what program you have open, look at the program with the internet program your using. sometimes the volume might be all the way down for that program or just muted. oh the description is for windows vista but I'm sure it'll work for xp users as well.

Can I use body er to moisturize my scalp?

I just read an article that said that shea er was great for keeping the scalp healthy and treat dandruff. I've also heard that jojoba oil is a great treatment not only for the scalp but to condition hair. I have this body er from Bath &Body Works, and read the ingrediets and it contains both shea er and jojoba oil. The rest of the ingrediets are mostly oils like olive, soybean, and rice oil, and oats and fruit extracts. It also contains panthenol which I know for a fact that is good for hair, but I still don't know if it's a good idea cause I dont know what the other ingredients would do to my hair (I'm not a chemist). What do you think? What ingredietns should I look for that could damage my hair or make it greasy? Thank you for your help!!

Personally I don't think any of those cardigans are that attractive, but out of the three the third one in navy night is definitely the best. I would unon one or two ons and wear it without a cami, or unon it all and wear a white/gray cami underneath. If you choose two unon it all, you should try pairing it with a longer type necklace. My cousin immigrated to America and was put in ESL. ESL work is a lot easier than regular cles! She is probably just having some trouble adjusting after 6 years in a different level of learning. Ask her teacher to help her out or get her a tutor. You could sit down and read with her and help her. I don't know what to say about the girl teasing her. Kids are cruel, just tell her to ignore her. Public libraries or the school might have homework help tutors. She can go there a couple times a week and meet up. I agree with the other person, she just needs Practice!

Did my recruiter lie?

I went to a army recruiter about a month ago and she asked about my criminal record. Opinion on movie editing program?

I got a fancy JVC video camera for christmas, an Everio Full HD with 120 GB internal memory, model no. GZ-HD320BU to be exact. I really love video and am into editing, so i was a bit dissapointed when i realized the camera didn't come with an editing program it self. I went out and bough Adobe Preimeire Elements, but it was unable to recognize the HD .mtv file type. I then bough Pinnicle Studio 12, which DID recognize the file type, but was too much for my laptop to handle and went painfully slow and the final rendered movie skipped. By now I don't really care about effects and all the bells and whistles, I just want to be able to cut a clip, put clips together, and basically just make a simple home video. Anyone PLEASE have/know a program that small memory laptops can take the .mtv file type? I'd really like to JUST EDIT MY MOVIES! Please help me!

How can I help my 6 yr old niece understand death?

I desperately need advice because I feel like my 6 yr old niece will be permanently damaged. About a 1 1/2 ago my sister died suddenly while visiting our mom out of state. It was my sisters wish to be cremated so my niece was unable to have closure by saying goodbye. I did my best to try to explain to her that her mommy got very sick and died, and now she is an angel with God. My niece does not understand and still believes that her mom is visiting grandma and just hasn't come back. When she comes to stay with me on the wkends she sometimes asks where her mom is (my sister lived with me). I continue to explain to her that her mom is in heaven and is unable to come back. The second part of this tragedy is when my niece's went to live with her dad full time after her mom died, she latched on to his wife and they became fast friends and basically adored each other. Of course this was very hard for me to take, and we had a very rocky start because I was worried that she was trying to take her moms place, but once I gave her a chance I came to realize that she was just an incredible woman. Instead of trying to take her moms place she did her best to help her to remember her mom. My niece began to think of her as her mom, and strange as it may sound, she became my best friend. A few months ago her stepmom found out that she had cancer and got very sick-very fast. She went through her 1st round of chemo 2 wks ago, and she died this past Wed. So now my 6 yr old niece has lost 2 mommies in under 2 yrs. The worst pt is she is the 1 that found her that morning. She was able to go through the entire funeral process. It is pretty obvious that she has retreated mentally. She believes that she is asleep and will wake up. We have explained to her that her mom's (#2) body was just too sick to keep going. She goes in & out of moments where she just looks lost, she won't eat or talk, and just stares off. When I try to talk to her about what death means she just walks off. I'm really at a loss. I know a counselor is a must, but does anyone have any ideas of what I could do in the mean time?

When I look at my broadband status I keep receiving errors on my bytes received. The amount of errors differs with the amount of pages looked at on the net. I have run the network diagnostic program and it says that my network adapter has failed. clicking on this it tells me that the WAN Miniport(IP) has failed whatever that is. Clicking on this it says DNSServerSearchOrder failed. It then says 212.50.160.100 failed with info that Packets sent 4 received 0 lost 4 100% loss. I dont have a clue what it means so any help would be great thanks. Is the problem lying with my PC, my modem (speedtouch 330), my filter or my phone line. My ex-wife intends 2 put our son in a Mennonite school. Will this doom his education? Can I legally intervene?

We separated after our son was conceived two years ago. Since then she has gone from an ex-stripper to a fanatic Mennonite. She plans on moving to Scurry, TX and enrolling my son in a Mennonite School called Grays Prairie Mennonite School, which I can't find a trace of on Google. My understanding is that Mennonites place little value on education and the school likely lacks any accreditations or licensed, qualified teachers, and typically peaks at an 8th grade level. If the Mennonite Education Agency is any type of standard, then this school isn't even a member of that. My fear is that he will not only receive a pathetic education and not excel in the real world when he inevitably leaves Mennonites as soon as he's old enough, but also that REAL universities will view him as an illiterate hooplehead. Does anyone have actual knowledge of Mennonite education? What are my legal rights as his father in determining his education methods? I am fearful for my son and his future. Please help

Well, you've done most of the work. You eliminated the router as the problem because other laptops work with it. So the question becomes what on your laptop is preventing connection. It can only be 2 things, hardware or software. On most laptops there is an on/off switch somewhere in front (that is where mine is on my Toshiba), on the side of, or on the face of (above the keyboard) your laptop. Make sure it is turned on. To check the software (corruption of driver programs happens like any other program) go into Control Panel, under System, then Device Manager and see if you have any yellow or red flags under Network Adapters. Try updating them. If all else fails then go out and buy a USB Wireless Adapter and see if that works. If it does then it's your on-board network adapter that went bad. It happens. Basically you just keep eliminating the possibilities one by one.

We have this neighbor who has called the health dept. on us over our septic system, but when they came out they didn't see the problem. HELP! Major fear of shots, I need some tips!?

Long story short bad experiences and I have a fear of even the smallest medical needle, i have for ages now. I have a MAJOR fear of shots where I won't eat for 24 hours until its done because if I even so much as look at the needle I literally just want to hurl it makes me that queasy. I'm getting a cortisone shot in my wrist tomorrow to help with my carpel tunnel and my friend sent me a video without telling me that it was OF THE PROCEDURE! My soon to be ex was seriously addicted to video games and it became a very large problem between us. It got to the point where if he was awake and not at work, he was playing a game and if I took it away or told him he couldn't play, he'd either go to bed or sit on the couch and get depressed. Hey I was messin on the trampoline and hit both shins on the bar. right leg has deep gash where you could easily see the bone. but we got stitches and it is bandaged up right now. i take bandage off at 10 o clock tonight. but anyway it is extemely hard to walk and not have it hurt extremely and right now it hurts terribly. i know my shin got extremely bruised but doctor said it was not fractured even tho he did not x-ray it. also the gash is really sore. what kind of things should i be taking and doing to help with pain and help it heal? thanks.

Not familiar with kinds of crimes for which people are framed by Police but the two most common false allegations in general appear to be "spousal abuse" and "child abuse." Both are typical in family court proceedings and there is generally little to no punishment even when the accuser admits to falsifying the allegations. It is believed that by punishing people (usually women) it will discourage those who have legitimate claims of this nature.

Jail broken iPod Touch stuck on boot screen?

I have a jail broken iPod Touch 2G 32GB. It was running firmware 2.2.1 . I jail broke using a software that did have a GUI (graphic user interface) but it was NOT quickpwn. I installed a "custom boot screen". My iPod worked for a week fine. I accidentally pressed the "restore" on in the app "aptbackiup" so I tried to press the home key. It kept restoring so I pressed the sleep and home key at the same time so I can force shutdown/reboot. Now my iPod is stuck on my boot screen. I have forced restarted many times and the screen restarts but again stays at the boot screen. Windows will (after restarting the iPod) recognize the iPod as though it is connected as normally for about 5-10 minutes. One minute after windows recognizes my iPod, the iPod (while on the boot screen) will make the "now connected to computer" sound. As I was writing this description what happened was that while on the boot screen the iPod flashed a white screen for a second and then went right back to rebooting all the way from the first step as I descried. Also: Even though Windows will recognize the iPod and I can view the pictures on the iPod, iTunes will not recognize it and I cannot SSH.

Here's my whole dilemma; I'm 24 years old, I live with my parents, I've been unemployed for four months and I'm literally flat broke. I'm also an art school senior who's flunked cles because of procrastination, laziness, and just feeling unsure and delusional about who I am . What are some good cl field trips?

My cl is taking an end of the year field trip and the eighth graders get to choose it. I live in Sum Prairie/Columbus Wisconsin (near Madison) we can go anywhere, but our budget is $80 per person. I just got in an argument with my mother over whether fetal dopplers are safe. She said that she only ever had one with me. This is my first pregnancy and so far I have had to have several due to cramping and fluid problems. I'm only 26 weeks and have also had to have several non stress tests which use doppler ultrasound to hear the heart beat. I also have a fetal doppler I use at home every now and then. I think it's unlikely. Because I think most people start life with grand ideas of making a better society, typically very liberal. As life continues they get more cynical and hence more conservative. Unless all they young people move north and all the old people move south, the split wont happen.
