How to open my sd card?!?

ok i put my micro sd card into a micro sd card adapter into a sd card my computer picks it up and beeps when i go to my computer its there but if i drag and drop any files it waits then says plz insert a usb nto drive e: if i try and open it it makes my computer not respond and i have turn exit my computer plz help
